We had booked a studio deluxe pavilion. When we were allocated our room we found ourselves looking out onto the beautiful sea from our balcony. The lovely and friendly staff managed to accommodate us on the first floor up so we the view was great. The location is very picturesque. Beach is reachable by steps from the resort, so for someone with walking problems this is a no go. The sea is warm and beautiful especially as we came on what they call an inspection trip (Club Whitebay) The breakfast buffet is very good but we eat too much food all week. Staff are extremely friendly although their English is not p[erfect they really are lovely and helpful. There are plenty of pubs and restaurants on Choeng Mon beach. I personally would rate this hotel as true 5 star beach resort and will become without any doubt the other day.

Mike and Pauline Hall - December 2003

....................................................................................................................................................................

Mike and I came to Thailand with the idea of "Flashpacking" around the country and islands. Being in our 50¡¯s and self-employed we decided that 6 weeks would give us plenty of time to explore. So armed only with the backpackers bible (the lonely Planet) and lots of optimisim we sallied forth from Bangkok.

On a trip to visit "Boots" in Chaweng, two guys stopped us and asked if we spoke English. Thinking they were lost (haha) and needed directions, Joan was about to say we were sort of lost ourselves; when they handed us two scratchcards.

Within 5 minutes we knew they were selling something and being game for most things we thought what the book let¡¯s see what it¡¯s all about (besides we wanted our scratchcard present!!)

On meeting Craig in the office after filling out forms, and by now knowing this was "timeshare"-( sighted a few other couples sat at tables) we were suitably impressed. Polite, charming, well dressed and articulate. We listened to an extremely good presentation with no "pressure" at all. (Both of us have had bad experiences Spain/USA/Canaries/Turkey)

We met the "team" and they are a very co-ordinated professional group with Alfie their leader. Again all articulate and sincere; explaining everything so clearly and answering all our questions and queries with unfailing good humor in a relaxed way that put us entirely at ease.

Then we were taken to the resort. Here we finally fell in love with Thailand. We could not get back to the office quick enough. With no words spoken we just knew here was the dream.

Here we are on a trial honeymoon. (We get married next year)

Thanks guys for everything, your help, wonderful hospitality (lovely meal with Craig & Dyhew-that Thai lady will go for!!) not to mention the sheer beauty of the Peninsula Resort.

You have given us our vary own dream.

To sum up:

An honest transaction made in Paradise that will take us to more Paradise's.

PS. We have mentioned 3 people by name for the article; but there are more who should be named but we will close here with

¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡Thanks Team!!!
